Edwin Ocasio-Lopez

Edwin "The Comic Jabroni" Ocasio-lopez passed away August 14,2020. He was born on December 24,1984 in Panama City, Panama.

He is survived by his wife Vanessa Ocasio, his children Eleanora and Nicolino Ocasio, his parents Edwin and Mayra Ocasio, his sister Carla Ocasio-lopez, and his niece Aubriana Urias.

Edwin served 14 years in the United States Army as a Medical Laboratory Specialist, attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. Along with his military career, he achieved his Associates of Science in Health Science Laboratory Technology. He was also in the process of achieving his Bachelor's Degree in History with Teachers Certification at Texas A&M. He loved all things comic books, especially Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Batman. He loved professional wrestling, growing up his favorite wrestler was The Rock, hence the name Jabroni. But Macho Man was his all time favorite. Weightlifting was a way of life for him, inspired by his idol Arnold Schwarzenegger. He also made a good old fashioned and would consider himself a whiskey connoisseur.

We always knew he was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, uncle, friend and soldier. But with his passing, we learned just how amazing he was and how much he was loved. While he will be forever missed, we are grateful for the time we had with him.

Visitation for Edwin will be at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 28th, 2020 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

Funeral service for Edwin will be at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 29th, 2020 at 11:00am.
