Zachary Castillo

December 27, 1993 — June 29, 2014

Zachary "Zach" D. Castillo born on December 27, 1993 in San Antonio, Texas passed away on June 29, 2014 in Universal City, Texas, at the age of 20. Zachary enjoyed basketball and had a deep adoration for the San Antonio Spurs. He carried an obvious affection for lifting weights as well as working out. Being raised in Texas, Zachary had a passion for swimming, tubing, country music and dancing. He was usually seen wearing the biggest smile ever seen while showing off his comedic side to anyone who'd lend an ear. When he wasn't working at Bill Miller's, Zach loved spending time with his family. His Full of Life' energy will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Demetrio Castillo, Sr. Zachary is survived by his mother, Isabel Solis Rivera and her husband, Joe; father, Demetrio Castillo, Jr. and his wife, Sandra; grandparents, Ernesto and Christina Solis of San Antonio, Texas and Robert and Virginia Diaz of Skidmore, TX; sisters, Sabrina Castillo, Monique Hernandez and Kayla C. Castillo; girlfriend, Stephanie Hernandez, and numerous other loving family members. A Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM with Rosary to be recited at 6:00PM. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10:00AM at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
