Yanghee Gilbert

April 7, 1975 — January 11, 2014

Yanghee Gilbert, born on April 7, 1975, passed away on January 11, 2014, at the age of 38. Yanghee was a warm hearted wife, mother, and friend. With God in her heart, she loved to sing, just as much as she loved to cook. Her passion for cosmetology was just as strong as her care for children. Being outdoors near the water and close to nature was one of her cherished pastimes. Her father, Chang Shik Kim, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Michael J. Gilbert; children, Kristen and Shawn; mother, Bok Rye Kim; brothers, Young Kil, Yong Chae, and Yang Sam; sisters, Yon Cha, Soon Ha, and Soon Mi; numerous other loving family members and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Schertz Funeral Home, from 5:00PM - 9:00PM, with a Memorial Service to begin at 6:00PM, Pastor Bae Heuk officiating. All services will conclude in the chapel.
