William Wheelis

William H. (Bill) Wheelis, 89 -- 9/18/1928 - 4/11/2018

Bill joined his wife Phyllis Pfeil Wheelis (2011) of 34 years - and as their headstone says, "Still in Love".

Bill retired in 1984 from Department of Public Safety after 28 years. They thrived in the Schertz farming community with many close friends and neighbors.

Bill was born in Blanco and is pre-deceased by parents Thomas and Susie Wheelis, brother Theodore Wheelis, and sisters Lyndelle Wheelis Whitesides and Pauline Wheelis Keir, and Bill's first wife Doris Howard.

Bill is survived by daughter Patti Williamson, son-in-law Ollie, grandson Branden and great-grandson Lincoln, and daughter Terri Rudolph, grandchildren Kristin and Charlie, and daughter Sherry Howard.

Bill is also survived by nephews John Whitesides and wife Andrea, Ted Wheelis and wife Cassie, Randy Keir, niece Beverly Gruber and husband Jack, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Pall bearers, Fuzzy Wiederstein, Glenn Lisso, Gerald Koenning, Tracy Meek, Marvin Krueger, Pete McBrearty. Honorary, Alfred Reinhard, Gene Brietzke.
