CMSGT William "Bill" Marshall Tucker (Ret USAF) passed away on November 13, 2018 at the age of 87. He was born on March 1, 1931, in Casey County, KY to Troy and Nora Tucker.
William proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for nearly 28 years. After retirement from the USAF, he served as an aircraft maintenance instructor, then in Civil Service as a training facilities specialist at Randolph AFB.
He was especially devoted to his family. Though always a hard-working provider, he made time for gentle leadership and love. William was also loved and admired by his many friends and neighbors. His readiness to help, and his handyman skills earned him the honorary "Mayor of Green Valley" title, given by his neighborhood.
William was preceded in death by his son, Michael Tucker, and daughter, Deborah Tucker. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Nellie Tucker; children: David Tucker and his wife Bev, Garry Tucker and his wife Patti, Pamela Negem and her husband Chris; grandsons: Kyle, Scott, Matthew, Christopher, John and Michael; great-grandchildren: Troy, Audrey and Edrick; brother: Robert Tucker; and sisters: Hilda Patton and Helen Allen.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 12 Noon at Schertz Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
