William Morris

William R. Morris (Bill), age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Brook Army Medical Center surrounded by family. A wake will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Monday, June 12, 2017. The family will greet friends from 4:00-8:00PM. There will be a military burial with full honors at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:45AM.

Bill was a long time resident of Schertz, Texas and is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria J. Morris. Bill is also survived by his daughter, Donna Morris of Minneapolis, MN, his sons, Bill Morris of Schertz, John Morris and his wife Jackie Morris, of San Antonio, and his four grandchildren, Michael Morris, Amanda Morris, Riley Myers and Gloriana Morris. Bill served in the Navy and is a Vietnam War vet (68-69). His later career was as a mechanic for Chemical Express. Bill was active member of the Knights of Columbus Good Shepherd Council 6385, and his church Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Selma. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of Bill and Gloria's friends who have sent their condolences and well wishes. Rest in peace dad. We love you.
