William Kretzschmer

March 30, 1965 — March 4, 2014

William P. Kretzschmer, born on March 30, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on March 4, 2014 in Cibolo, Texas, at the age of 48. He worked throughout his life in the retail and sales industry and did spend 18 years with Toys-R-Us. William enjoyed collecting toy cars and baseball cards, especially players from his beloved Kansas City Royals. He loved to travel to Florida and married the love of his life at Sanibel Island and would spend time snorkeling at some of his favorite spots which included Cape San Blas and Marco Island. Whenever he had the chance, William would spend time outdoors playing baseball, taking long bike rides through different trails, and taking long walks with his German Shepherds, whom he loved dearly. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Monice A. Kretzschmer; parents, Milford R. and Nellie M. Kretzschmer; brother, Ron Kretzschmer. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Schertz Funeral Home, from 5:00PM-7:00PM, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 North Evans Road, Selma, Texas 78154, at 10:00AM. All services will conclude in the church. in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kretzschmer Family to assist with funeral expenses.
