WILLIAM TERRY HICKMAN died November 13, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas. Terry was born November 2, 1926, in Bois dArc, Anderson County, Texas, the son of Amanda Lodie Mae Williams and George Lee Hickman. He is survived by his wife Ruth Graham Hickman, son Larry Hickman, wife Tina and grandson Zane; son Gary Hickman, wife Ellen and grandson Spencer, sister-in-law Lois Hickman, brother Lewis Perry Hickman and wife Earlene, sister Sarah Anice Camp and a host of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased in death by his parents, siblings Cecil Francis Hickman, Leuna Killough, Lizzie Mae Baker, and Minnie Estelle Watson. Terry worked in the railroad industry for fifty-three years, beginning with the Texas and Pacific Railroad (Missouri Pacific) in Palestine, Texas, and retiring from the Union Pacific Railroad in San Antonio. He served in the Army during World War II, and was a Lifetime Member of the Palestine Masonic Lodge No. 31 A.F. & A.M. Funeral services will be held at Universal City United Methodist Church, 90 Winn Avenue, Universal City, Texas, 78148 on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at 3:00 p.m., with visitation following the service. Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on November 19, 2010, 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Universal City United Methodist Church, the Methodist Childrens Home, 1111 Herring Avenue, Waco, TX 76708 or the charity of choice. Terrys family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff at Regent Care Center Oakwell Farms and those attending his care at hospice.
