William James Floyd, age 77, of Schertz, Texas, passed away on July 12, 2009. He was born September 25, 1931 to James & Matilda Floyd in Kennebec, South Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Eileen Whiteman & Helen Schleicher and grandson, Michael Tanner Floyd and granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Floyd. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene Floyd; sons, Mike Floyd & wife, Sheila, Mark Floyd & wife, Kari and Anthony Floyd & wife, Janet; daughter, Patricia Fraley & husband, Jim; brother, Bob Floyd & wife, Jo Ann; grandchildren, Tyler Floyd Springer, Jonathan Fraley, Kyle Floyd, Keyea Floyd, Megan Floyd, Colton Floyd, Jeannie Lynn Quiroz and Alex Goodman and great grandchildren, Chase Floyd & Caleigh Floyd. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will follow 11:00 AM on Friday, July 17, 2009 with Father Walter Zinzer officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
