William Joseph Woods Bill , age 81 of Cibolo, TX, passed away on September 18, 2011. Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years, Joan M. Woods; his children, Kathleen Fulmer and her husband, Jerry of Clearwater, Florida, Pat Perry and her husband, Tom of Cibolo, Texas, Debbi Taylor of Hutto, Texas, Bill Woods of San Francisco, California, Maggie Schacht and her husband, Ken of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Mary White of Smithfield, North Carolina, Maureen Sickler and her husband, Tad of Albany, Oregon, Janice Davison of Houston, Texas, Bob Woods and his wife, Janice of Cibolo, Texas and Kelley Adkins and her husband, Dave of Fort Myers, Florida; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Bill served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 2 January 1951-5 November 1954. Bill will always be remembered for his 49 years of service with AA. He was the founder of Manna House, in Columbus, Ohio. Through this ministry he helped many men put their lives back together, both spiritually and physically; allowing them to become productive members of society. After moving to San Antonio he became very involved in the ACTS Retreat Ministry which included the ACTS Recovery. Also, he was an active member of the Universal City Order of St. Luke Healing Ministry. As a spiritual counselor in the healing and addiction recovery ministries, Bill helped countless people through difficult times in their lives. Helping them discover the inner peace he knew through Our Lord. Bill touched the lives of many people and will be missed by all. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 N. Evans Rd, Selma, TX 78154, with Father Joseph Mary Marshall as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at 11:45 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
