Wilfred R. Hensel, born on May 27, 1958, passed away on May 20, 2014, at the age of 55. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Delia J. Hensel; children, Marie Hensel, Michelle Hensel-Rios and her husband, Dan, Wilfred R. Hensel, Jr. and his wife, Lani, and Melody Hensel-Santos and her husband, Anthony; grandchildren, Derrick Hensel, Bryan Serafin, Jayson Serafin, and Araceli Serafin; sister, Alene Hensel. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 23, 2014, from 5:00PM-9:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 1:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home with Pastor Russell Dick officiating. The Graveside Service will be on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at 10:45AM, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with United States Navy Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hensel Family.
