Warren Mayne

March 16, 1928 — January 17, 2012

MSGT Warren Vernon Mayne, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), age 83 of Schertz, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Warren is preceded in death by his parents, Washington Harris and Florence Ernestine (Helton) Mayne. He is survived by his wife, Annie Laurie Mayne; children, Leslie Mayne and Barbara Walker; brother, Douglas Wayne Mayne; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Warren was a Shriner, a Mason and an Eastern Star. He worked as an instructor in Florida for DeMolay International. Loving husband of 62 years, exceptional father of two daughters, 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a Will Rogers kind of man, never met a man he didnt like . A friend to many and a good, hard-working provider. He was the owner of Mayne Electric for over 25 years and retired from military service after 30 years of service. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
