Walter Wickliffe

Walter C. Wickliffe, born on December 27, 1942, passed away on July 7, 2011, at the age of 68. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Donna J. Wickliffe. Walter and Donna were blessed with the following children and grandchildren; sons, Wayne Wickliffe and Jeff Beck and his wife, Jackie; daughter, Lorie Saur and her husband, Ray; grandsons, Ryan Beck, Craig Beck, and Caysey Saur; granddaughters, Lynsie Saur, Jennifer, Jamie, and Ashlea; sister, Louise Black; several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, from 5:00PM until 9:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 10:00AM, at Triumphant Lutheran Church, 21315 Bat Cave Road, Garden Ridge, TX 78266. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. During Walters nearly 50 year career in funeral service, he admired the caring and unselfish work of hospice personnel, therefore, in lieu of flowers, he requested donations be made to any hospice organization. Pallbearers will be Brian Gottardy, Kenneth Gottardy, Steven Gottardy, Dwayne Gottardy, Clifford Dugosh, and Mary Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Hardin, Hardy Henderson, Earl Minchew, Richard Gottardy, Craig Cates, Kenneth Dugosh, Quinten Meyer, Glen Johnson, Don Clark, and David Hunter. Services under the direction of Schertz Funeral Home.
