Walter Arthur Schertz was born in Schertz, Texas February 17, 1920 and passed away in San Antonio, Texas, April 7, 2014. Walter is preceded in death by parents, Walter Joseph Schertz and Alma Ida Wuest Schertz; sisters, Frances Classen, and Helen Rowell; brother, Alvin Schertz and nephew, Bob Rowell. He is survived by his wife, Lula Mae; nephews, Harold Classen and wife, Jeannie, Lawrence Classen and wife, Pat, Fred Rowell and wife, May and niece, Kathryn Rowell. Visitation will be at Schertz Funeral Home from 5:00PM - 9:00PM on Thursday, April 10, 2014. Funeral Services will be at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10:30AM. Interment will be private.
