Virginia Grassmeyer

Virginia Grassmeyer passed away December 10, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 84. She was born January 5, 1934 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to parents Frederick and Martha (Bird) Campbell. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was very much into celebrating life. Every year, her birthday was a big event and she loved decorating for the holidays! Virginia was particular in taste when it came to her clothes and jewelry and could be found getting her hair done every Wednesday. She was a talented porcelain painter as well as letter writer whom also took the time to appreciate flowers or get away to the casino to play the slot machines.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Martha Campbell; daughter, Bonnie Sweeney; son, Steven Grassmeyer and sister, Jean Cleland. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Doyle Grassmeyer; daughter-in-law, Donna Grassmeyer; grandchildren, Joshua Ledford, Nicholas Mullinnex with wife Melissa and Cole Grassmeyer; great-grandchildren, Emile Mullinnex and Sarah Mullinnex.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 from 4:00PM- 7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home.
