Virginia Corona

September 22, 1921 — March 2, 2015

Virginia C. Corona was born on September 22, 1921 in Luxcello, Texas. She passed away on March 2, 2015 in Schertz, Texas at the age of 93. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Gregorio J. Corona; parents, Tarquino and Elvira (Medina) Cavazos; brothers, Juan, Pedro, and Edmundo Cavazos; sisters, Hortencia Garcia and Concepcion Bustos. She is survived by her sister, Romana Morones; daughters Estela Corona, Elvira Fletcher; sons, Lucio, Andres, Gregorio, Jr., Manuel and Javier Corona, 23 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 44 great great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015, at 10:00AM, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, in Selma, Texas. Interment will follow at Selma Cemetery No. 2.
