Virgil A. Weiler, born on August 31, 1934, passed away on March 18, 2016, at the age of 81. Also known as Virg and Opa, Virgil retired after 28 years in the United States Air Force as a CMSgt; he also retired from PPG Industries. He was a member of the American Legion & Air Force Sergeants Association. Virgil was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Valentine and Leona Weiler; four brothers, all of St. Genevieve, MO. Virgil is survived by his loving wife, Judy Weiler; daughters, Candi Weiler McCall with husband Clyde of Spring Branch, TX, Pamela Weiler Arida with husband Patrick of San Antonio, TX; sons, Mark Weiler with wife Jennifer Weiler of Schertz, TX, Jim Weiler; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Anna Mae Arnold of Ste. Genevieve, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 1:15PM, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with Father Ed Pavlicek officiating. The family has requested that any memorial donation be made to Valle High School of Ste. Genevieve, MO.
