TSgt Virgil Skip Fereday, U.S. Air Force, retired, 63, went to be with the Lord Monday June 15, 2009. He was born November 28, 1945 in Texas City, Texas. Skip worked as a Machinist for the Air force until his retirement and continued to work as a contractor. He loved his family. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 43 years, Mrs. Carol (Finley) Fereday of Cibolo, TX., Daughter and Son-in-law, Cathy Fereday Vaughan & Phillip Vaughan, Grandchildren: Collin, Ryan and Ainsleigh all of Schertz, Texas, and his much beloved pets. Skip was also loved by several brothers & sisters, nieces & nephews, extended family and numerous friends. Skip was predeceased by his father Virgil Fereday, and stepfather Guy D. Harding & Mother Claudia Mae (Brooks) Fereday Harding. Visitation will be held Sunday June 21, 2009 at Schertz Funeral Home beginning at 5:00 PM until 9:00PM with Funeral Services being held Monday June 22, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors at 11:45 AM.
