Victoria Garcia

Victoria A. Garcia (Vickie) was called home by the Lord and Savior on December 15, 2010. Vickie was born on March 4, 1937 in Cibolo, Texas. She is preceded by her parents, Sara and Pascual Aguilar; siblings, Mariano Aguilar, Maria de Jesus Campos, Narciso Aguilar, Maria Molina, Ester Escobedo, Manuela Aguirre and her loving husband and daughter Francisco and Dolores Marie Garcia. She is survived by her sister Amalia Garcia; four brothers, Macario Aguilar (Benita), Domingo Aguilar, Pascual Aguilar Jr. and Jose Aguilar and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Aunt Vickie was a loving person who was always helpful to her family. She helped her sisters in their time of need by assisting them by raising their children. She is an honorary great-grandmother to three children, Rihanna Burns and Edward and Ryan Rivas. Her love of sewing, crocheting, embroidery and cooking kept her busy with various projects for her family. She was able to pass on her knowledge to her nieces that had the patience to learn to sew, crochet, embroider and cook. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Pall bearers include: Natividad Escobedo III, Nephew, Jose L. Rivas, nephew, Sergio Garcia, great-nephew, Lorenzo Garcia, great-nephew, Jared Escobedo, great-nephew, Albert Herrera, nephew and Edward Rivas-great-great-nephew as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM (with a Rosary to be Recited at 7:00 PM) on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
