Verla Lamport

Verla Mae Lamport was born May 18, 1927, in Schertz, Texas. She met the Lord April 30, 2013. Mae was the first child of Orie and Edna Davis. Growing up she lived in Victoria, Goliad, Lavilla and graduated from Falfurrias High School in 1944. Mae married Ellsworth (Alec) Frank Lamport in 1944 in San Francisco, California. They had four children, Dorcas, Sam, Frank and Ann. Mae faithfully stood by her military husband which took her all over the world, including Africa, France, Spain, Holland, Germany, Illinois, Texas and California. Mae never met someone that wasnt a friend. She had a way to brighten any room at any situation. She made Schertz her home and was very proud of living where she was born. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00PM on Monday, May 6, 2013. Funeral Services will be at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with interment immediately following at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
