Verdie Seiler

July 27, 1926 — March 2, 2013

Verdie M. Seiler went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2013 in San Antonio, TX with family at her side. Verdie was born on July 27, 1926 in Fredericksburg, TX to Louis and Edna Kunz. She was a housewife and loving mother who devoted her time, not only to her own children, but other children who were in need. She loved shopping and making jewelry that she often gifted to her grandchildren. Verdie was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jerome, her parents, daughter, Judi McMillian, brothers, Billy, Elgin, Levi, Archie, Louis Jr., sisters, Vera, Shirley and Irene, and grandson Douglas Brannon. She is survived by her sister Leola Landis, children Shelly Donley and husband Tom, Rhonda Miles and husband Frank, Wayne Tatsch and wife Yvonne, Rodney Tatsch and wife Ann, and step-daughter Cheryl Brannon, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at the Schertz Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM with interment shortly after at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in Verdie's name to Embrace Hospice, LLC, 10918 Vance Jackson Rd., Suite 210, San Antonio, TX 78230.
