Varaporn Bufford

Varaporn “Toy” Bufford, formerly Musikul, went to be with her Buddha on May 29, 2024.

Toy was born in Bangkok, Thailand to General and Mrs. Tawee Musikul of the Royal Thai Army on August 16, 1942.

Toy moved to the United States and attended Coleman College and San Diego City College. From there, she relocated to Busbee, Arizona, then to Tucson, Arizona, after that Corpus Christi, Texas, and then to San Antonio, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Chief MSgt Michael E. Bufford, USAF retired. The two were married in Ingleside, Texas and traveled to many different places, their assignments being in Germany, Nebraska, Japan, and Massachusetts. Upon Michael’s retirement from the Air Force, they lived in McKinney, Texas, and finally relocated to Helotes, Texas.

Toy was a Thai classical dance instructor and loved spending many hours training young girls and women in the art of classical dance at Wat Saddhadhamma, the Buddhist Temple in Schertz, Texas.

Varaporn is survived by her loving husband, Chief MSgt Michael E. Bufford, and her four sisters.
