Ua Hatcher

June 26, 1994 — April 25, 2011

Joshua (Josh) Donald Hatcher, age 16, of Schertz, Texas, left us too soon on April 25, 2011. Joshua was born on June 26, 1994, in Marquette, Michigan to Jon and Paula (Paitl) Hatcher. Josh lived in Texas most of his life but his heart belonged in Wisconsin. He was a junior at Steele High School, in Cibolo, Texas. He is survived by his loving family, Parents, Jon and Paula, brother, Jake, Grandmother, Mary Anne Paitl (Ashland, WI) six uncles, five aunts, sixteen cousins, and friends too numerous to count. Preceding him in death were his other loving Grandparents; Donald F. Paitl, Robert E. Hatcher, and Mary Elizabeth Frawley (Minnear). Josh was a wonderful young man, fun loving, and always happy. He had the bluest, smiling eyes, and a truly golden heart. His smile was contagious. He loved joking around, and making people laugh. He was the kid who everyone wanted to be friends with, and he had so many! To his friends, he was the life of any party or event. He made you feel like you were the most special person in the world when you were around him, but look out, he might steal your juice boxes. He had a large, loving family, and enjoyed spending time with all of them. Josh loved spending time in the kitchen with his mother Paula cooking and experimenting with recipes and could whip up a mean batch of brownies at any moment. He was an athlete and participated in many sports. Josh played tennis in 7th and 8th grade. He played football 7th through 10th grade. He later ran track, and he loved to run. He ran in literally every event. He used to love the Miami Dolphins because he loved fish, but he became a Green Bay Packer fan because it ran in the family. He loved to spend time with his family in Wisconsin, and loved the woods and lakes. He enjoyed hunting with his Dad, Jake, and his uncles in the Northwoods. He had many fond memories of fun times in Wisconsin with his family. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM (with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM) on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 29 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hatcher family for a charity to be named later. Donations may be mailed to: 2928 Lotus Park, Schertz, Texas, 78154.
