Trudy Vardeman

December 31, 1937 — May 20, 2015

Trudy Trevelyn (Tidwell) Vardeman, born on December 31, 1937, in Carmona, TX was called to be with the Lord on May 20, 2015, at the age of 77. Trudy's love for her family was apparent in everything she did. She was very active with the band boosters and dance team while her children were in school. She loved the Spurs, Cowboys, Randolph Family Dental, and was a long-time member of The Country Church in Marion, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Marguerite Tidwell, of Lufkin,TX, and by eight days, the love of her life, James S. "Bob" Vardeman. She is survived by her sons, Bobby Vardeman and his wife, Colette of Helotes, TX, and Bryant Vardeman and his wife, Fortune of Marion, TX; daughters Beverly Whitmer and her husband Damon Whitmer of Austin, TX, and Bethany Ciaravino and her husband, Michael of Schertz, TX; siblings, John Tidwell and Arline Gates of Lufkin, TX; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 5:00PM-9:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Friday, May 22, 2015, at 12:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home, Pastor Butch Ikels officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
