Trudy Crumb

July 6, 1941 — December 2, 2016

Trudy Crumb passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016. She was born on July 6, 1941 in Claremore, OK. to Otto L. McLendon and Eula L. Williams Robinson. She went to Sequoyah Boarding School for Native Americans; like her mother, grandmother, and all of her siblings. She became a nurse's assistant in 1981. She loved taking care of people. Trudy is Cherokee on her mother's side and Irish on her father's side. Her fondest memories were being in Sequoyah as a child with her brother. She was very proud of being Native American and attending pow wows. Trudy would tell stories of getting into trouble with the house ladies at her boarding school sneaking cornbread back to the dorm. She loved family vacations, visiting her husband's side of the family in New Orleans, and visiting her family in Texas. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved watching old movies, quilting, cooking, and family gatherings. She always sang and seafood was her joy in life. Never short of a good story from when her children were young and the adventures they would take. You will always be missed and never forgotten. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Crumb; mother, Eula L. Williams Robinson; brother, Bonner McLendon; sisters, Betty Croshaw and Corina Cain. She is survived by her four children, Patricia McLendon and her wife Andrea, Ricky D. Crumb and his partner Crystal Dillman, Leslie Crumb and her partner Lisa Adler, Trudy Critilli and her husband Robert; 5 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 2:00 PM, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
