Tobio (Billy) Mocci, born in Matawan, New Jersey on August 25, 1924, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019, while visiting family in Cibolo, Texas. Billy lived in Escondido, California for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Escondido, California. Billy was an active member of The Escondido Italian Club and an avid bocce ball player. He was a member of the United States Army; proudly served during the WWII and the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Mocci and Carmela (Muriglio) Mocci and his beloved previous wife, Gloria, of 46 years. His daughter-in-law, Donna Mocci. His four sisters: Nelly White, Rose Pollito, Frances Straniero, and Mary Centimole.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Angie (Dalfonzo) (Nagy) Mocci; His son, Billy Mocci Jr of Albrightsville, Pennsylvania. Brother: John and his wife Julia Mocci of Morganville, New Jersey. Loving Grandchildren: Amber and Mike Rivera, and Justin Mocci. Loving great grandchildren: Taelor Rivera, Rocco Mocci.
Billy is also survived by a large loving step family; Rick and Debbie Nagy of Houston, Texas, Dave Nagy of San Jose, California, Ron and Cindy Nagy of Valley Center, California, Rob and Maureen Nagy of Cibolo, Texas, and by 12 loving step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.
He will be privately cremated in Texas with date of service at St. Timothy's to be determined.
Interment will be held on a future date at St. Joseph's cemetery in Keyport, New Jersey
