Thomas Tetens

MSgt Thomas E. Tetens USAF (Ret) was born on October 22, 1931 in Brady, Texas, passed away on December 3, 2019 at the age of 88. Thomas proudly served in the United States Air Force for 26 years working as a Military Police before earning his position as a Special Investigator for the OSI.   After retiring Thomas went on to work in Civil Service for 11 years.

Thomas is preceded in death by his daughters, Nancy Tetens and Karen Choina; brother, Harry Tetens and Richard Tetens.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Rita Tetens; son, Harry Tetens; daughter, Ruth Garcia; grandchildren, Nathan Nakamura, Angie Conrad, Alicia Garcia, Madison Garcia, Nicolas Garcia, Delilah Garcia and Sofia Garcia, Michael Patterson, Stephen Patterson, Amanda McDermott, Andrew Tetens and Camie Aiken; great-grandchildren, Victoria Nakamura, Jakob Nakamura, Kristen Conrad, Natalia Patterson, Peyton Patterson, Maya Patterson, Mariah Patterson and Nora McDermott; sister, Laura Clement and many nieces and nephews

A Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 9:00AM at Schertz Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
