Thomas Marantino

Thomas F. Marantino passed from this life at 87 years of age on November 28th, shy of his December 19th birthday. Born 1928 in NY, NY, he lifeguarded at L.I. He left to join the Army Air Corps in 1946. Despite fibbing about his age to qualify, he was a man of integrity and faith whose life code was God, country and family. He made a career of the USAF until retirement in 1974. He attended Our Lady of the Lake University. His second retirement was to the golf course. Tom was married to Betty (Dillard) for 66 years and witnessed all his children reach advanced education degrees. He is survived by his wife, Betty Marantino; son, Steven,(Cheryl); daughter, Kathleen; son-in-law, Thomas Patton; as well as 3 grandsons, 4 great-grandchildren, sister, Veronica Dale and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by daughter, Ann Jeanette Patton. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016, at 10:30 AM, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Selma Cemetery #2. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to: Abode Home, 8619 Post Oak Lane, SA, TX, 78217.
