Col Thomas James Harris, United States Air Force, (Ret.) passed away on September 10, 2014 at Gentiva Hospice from brain cancer, at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife of nearly 50 years, Clara Lee Harris. He was blessed to find love twice in his life and married Evelyn Milbrath on July 6, 2013. Evelyn and his family took great care of him throughout his illness. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Hawkins and husband Bruce; Tina Struxness along with his beloved grandchildren, Nicole Forsyth and husband Daniel; Danielle and Thomas Struxness; his adorable grandson, Aiden Forsyth; as well as his loving brother Jerry Harris and partner Larry Tabberer. He proudly served his country in the Air Force for 28 years. He flew B-52 airplanes and did three tours in Vietnam. He had a very impressive career, receiving numerous medals and awards. After retiring and taking a few years off, he went to work at D'Ann Harper Realty excelling as a real estate agent. He was an excellent athlete and enjoyed many sports. His most important treasure in life was spending time with his family and friends. He always had a smile on his face and was very well known for his sense of humor; He could light up any room just with his presence. He was so loving, generous and will be missed tremendously. We take comfort in the fact that he and Clara are resting easy in Our Lord's loving embrace.
