Thomas "Tom" Lee Fentress passed away on September 16, 2014, at the age of 83. He was born to Haldean and Elizabeth (Bean) Fentress on May 21, 1931 in Fletcher, Oklahoma. During his 12 years of school, he was never tardy or absent and went on to graduate as the Valedictorian of his Fletcher, Oklahoma High School in 1949. After High School he moved to San Antonio, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and also earned an academic scholarship to Trinity University. Tom was an accomplished editor and managed newspaper and printing shops from 1944 until 1960. He is best known for designing and building custom homes, garden homes and townhomes in Windcrest and Royal Ridge. A high level of integrity was apparent in all that he did. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Mary Ellen Fentress. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Allen; his son, Thomas Fentress and wife Kristina Fentress; grandchildren Michelle Snider and husband Coy, Harrison and Jacqueline Fentress; great granddaughters, Kirra and Blake Snider. A Memorial Service will be held at Windcrest United Methodist Church, Sunday, September 21, 2014, at 3:00 PM. All services will conclude at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Windcrest United Methodist Church Community Outreach Program.
