Thomas Beal

March 15, 1930 — January 16, 2012

Thomas Stanley Beal, born in Newton, Massachusetts on March 15, 1930, passed away at the age of 81 in San Antonio, Texas on January 16, 2012. Tom served honorably in the United States Air Force as a Fireman for 23 years. He was stationed at Bentwaters Air Force Base in England where he met and married Ruth Gormer in Ipswitch, Suffolk, England. Tom served in Civil Service for a total of 20 years after retiring from the Air Force. He worked at SARPMA and then retired Civil Service from Randolph Air Force Base as the Auto Hobby Shop supervisor. Tom enjoyed woodworking and had a real knack for auto mechanics. Tom and Ruth lived in Marion, Texas for 33 years and recently moved to San Antonio to be near family. Tom will be missed by all who loved and knew him. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Mary Gormer Beal and his three sons and their families, David and wife, Linda, Robert (Bobby) and wife, Shannon, and grandchildren, Trevor and Brooke and Paul and wife, Lori. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel in Schertz, Texas.
