Thelmarie Wood Browne

Thelmarie Wood Browne, 88 years old, resident of San Antonio Texas, while holding her daughter’s hand passed away November 11, 2024.

Thelmarie was married to the love of her life Kenneth Browne for over 44 years. Thelmarie and Kenneth had three children, Kenneth, Mark, and Clair. God blessed Thelmarie with a beautiful singing voice, that she used all her life. She sang in choirs beginning as a child and competed often. Thelmarie honored this gift by singing in the Mastersingers of San Antonio Opera for many years. She also shared her voice in her church choir until the last part of her life. She had an infectious laugh and loved a good Aggie joke. She told jokes every night to her children at the dinner table to tease her husband about his alma mater. She had many passions, and politics did not escape her interest. She was a known Democrat that relished a good argument with a Republican. Another great passion Thelmarie had was her church and church family. Much to her joy, her daughter took her every Sunday when she could not drive anymore. Her greatest passion was her family. She loved unconditionally and accepted many that were not blood related, as her own.

Thelmarie was survived by her daughter Clair, grandchildren Sarah and Zachary. Her Daughter in law Carol, grandchildren David, Andrew and wife Cheyenne, Emily and husband Addison. Carol’s wife Jennifer and their children, Lillian and Sloan. Many nephews and nieces as well as her adored cat Bailey. Proceeded in death was her beloved husband, two sons, parents and eight siblings.
