Terry Lambert

Terry Lambert, 68, passed away Monday in his home from natural causes in San Antonio, Texas. A memorial will be held on Saturday outside his home with the view he loved the most.

Terry Lee Lambert, born in Ames, Iowa the son of Ralph and Kathryn (Fish) Lambert. Terry attended Ames High School. After high school he served in the Vietnam War. After, he attended trade school and became an expert sheet metal worker. He worked with sheet metal for over 30 years. He enjoyed this and worked in Ames, Iowa, San Antonio, Texas, and Oklahoma City. He retired from this job but continued to work creatively with his hands and with sheet metal. He was married to his wife Cheryl for 37 years. They moved to San Antonio in 2007 to enjoy their days of retirement.

Terry enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gardening, reading, classic rock and building. His passion was building his dream home. This was a process that took years of planning and then became a reality after retirement. Terry put many unique and thoughtful touches in his work. Once his dream home was built he spent many hours outside perfecting the yard and working in his workshop.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Kathryn (Fish) Lambert. Terry is survived by his wife Cheryl, son Jeff of San Diego, California, daughter Jessica of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, brothers Dave (Phyllis) of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and Randy of Ames, Iowa, grandchildren, Madeleine, Abigail, Tabitha, Avery, and Audrey as well as nieces and a nephews
