Terry Dobbs

September 8, 1949 — December 6, 2012

Terry Glen Dobbs, born September 8, 1949 in Coleman, Texas, passed away in Marion, Texas on December 6, 2012 at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse L. Dobbs. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Donetta Sue Dobbs; mother Mandy Joy Dobbs, daughters, Donetta Lynn Dobbs and husband, Carlos Herrera of Marion, Texas, and Jessica Berry and her husband, Felipe Ramirez of New Braunfels, Texas, and sister Becky Jo Dobbs of Abilene, Texas. Terry worked as a petroleum inspector for Inspectorate America in Corpus Christi, Texas for 33 years. He loved listening to Elvis and oldies; fishing was also a big part of his life while he lived in Corpus. Terry loved playing with his dogs, horses, and goats that he accrued while living in Marion. He was a very loving father and husband, he was one who cared about all those around him and would help anyone in need. Family was his life and his wife and daughters were his world. Terry did not have biological grandchildren; however he did have a special buddy, Nicholas Berry. Nicholas helped to keep Terry going every time Nicholas was in his company. Terry will be missed dearly. A Memorial Service will be held at the Schertz Funeral Home on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00am.
