Sylvia Castellanos

April 11, 1953 — July 18, 2015

Sylvia D. "Su-Su" Castellanos, born on April 11, 1953, left to be with our Lord on July 18, 2015, at the age of 62. She spent 12 years as an Office Administrator at Weilbacher & Association. Su-Su loved to travel and cook for family and friends, but most of all, spend time with her grandchildren and loved ones. She was a giving person, always putting others before herself, and in her usual and gracious way, gave the gift of life to others. Although our Angel was called home too soon, she will continue to live through them and her loved ones. Her son, Duane Castellanos, and her parents, Crispin & Carolina De La Garza, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Robert "Bert" Castellanos; daughters, Michelle Hensley and her husband, Reed, and Amber Castellanos; grandchildren, Kaelyn, Colton, Ava, and Makaela. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 5:00PM-9:00PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, Texas 78154. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, July 24, 2015, at 1:00PM, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 N Evans Road, Selma, Texas 78154. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
