Sylvester Madarang

CMSgt Sylvester Madarang (USAF Retired), 83, was born in Paauilo, Hawaii on April 13, 1937.  He served in the Air Force as a fuels specialist for 28 years from 1956 to 1984.  He then continued working for the Air Force for 22 more years in civil service as a Fuels Inspector.  After traveling around the world during his Air Force career, he settled down in Arizona and Texas.  He was a member of the Arizona VFW, Post 40.  Known by his friends as “Sam” and “Fish” by family, he always put family and friends first.  He loved spending time with his family and going fishing every chance he could get.  He was a very strong, kind, giving, caring and thoughtful man who was always there for anyone needing a helping hand.  He will be terribly missed, but he will always be in our hearts.
