Susie Neller

November 27, 1919 — November 13, 2008

Susie Maxine (Hyde) Neller went to be with the Lord November 13, 2008. She was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1919 to Susan Rice and Harvey Hyde in Paxton, IL. Bad weather kept Mrs. Hyde from going to the hospital, so Maxine was born at home, delivered by her Grandma Rice. Maxine was the widow of Maj. William Neller, USAF (Ret) of Schertz, TX. She is preceded in death by four brothers, Glen, John Floyd and Harvey, and five sisters, Anna Delsa, Dorothy, Frances, Gwendolyn and Laura. She is survived by her sisters Sara, Lucille and Mildred, daughter Kathleen Hanson-Chipman and husband Monte, son Edward J. Murphy and wife Kay. Eight grandchildren, Susan Lawson, Elizabeth Doucette and husband David, Corey Murphy, David Murphy, Russell Murphy, Dale Hanson, Tracey Murphy and Amy Murphy; and by two great-grandchildren, David and Krystina Doucette. Pallbearers are Corey Murphy, David Murphy, Russell Murphy, Dale Hanson, Edward Murphy and Monte Chipman. Honorary pallbearers are "Bud" Wheeler and Ralph Perdew. A visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 5-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 beginning at 10 AM with interment to follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
