Sue Kay Lloyd of Universal City, Texas, passed away on April 12, 2024, after a prolonged illness of dementia and later Alzheimer's disease. She was 92 years old.
Sue was born on March 4, 1932, in Milroy Pennsylvania. She graduated from high school in Reedsville, Pennsylvania in June 1950 and attended Thompson Business College in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She moved with her parents to Tucson, Arizona in November 1951 due to her father's health. There she met Jim Lloyd, who was stationed at nearby Davis-Monthan AFB. They were married in July 1952.
Sue spent many years in Civil Service and retired from the USAF Recruiting Service in June 1986 after 21 years.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Jessamine Nepper; sons, Steve and Scott Lloyd, daughters-in-law, Deborah Lynn Lloyd and Irene Lloyd; and her grandson Jesse Scott Lloyd. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, CMSgt. James (Jim) Lloyd, USAF Retired; sister, Zoe Ann Ragan of Alta Loma, California; grandchildren, James Lloyd of McKinney, Texas, Erin Lloyd of Ennis, Texas, Riley Lloyd of Tucson, Arizona; and great grandson, Brendan Thompson of Ennis, Texas.
