Sue Holman

Sue Bridges Holman age 82, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at her home in Schertz, Texas. She grew up in Donalsonville Georgia, one of five children of Herbert and Doris Bridges. Sue excelled in all areas while attending Seminole County High School in her home town. After high school, she attended Valdosta State College in 1954 along with her two sisters Jean and Beverly who joined her there as soon as they graduated from high school. She and Jean graduated in 1958. In that same year, she met and married Don Holman, a young jet pilot in the Air Force. After 20 years traveling around the world in the Air Force, Sue and Don settled in Schertz, Texas where they started a real estate firm named Triangle Realty just down the road from Randolph Air Force Base. Sue worked at Triangle with Don for 39 years until Don's death and continued to be a presence there until shortly before her death. Sue was a beautiful, loving, compassionate wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was always strong in her faith, and always saw the best in people, no matter what.

Sue is preceded in death by her brother Johnny. She is survived by her five children; Donna Jilek, Eric Holman, Debra Reus, Donlee Holman, and Marcia Shafto, sisters, Jean Preston and Beverly Wheat, and brother, Donnie. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 3:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home in the chapel. The Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 18, at 11:00AM, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
