Steven Joe Spence, born on November 9, 1963 in Thomaston, Georgia, passed away on February 28, 2021 at the age of 57. Steven proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and went on to join the Army National Guard in New Orleans, where he was at the forefront during Hurricane Katrina. He earned his bachelor’s from ITT Technical Institute and his Master of Business Administration from Daniel Webster College. Steven worked as a Project Manager for Jason’s Contracting for three years. In his off-time Steven enjoyed watching NASCAR and wrestling, riding his motorcycle as a form of therapy, and hanging out and doting on his girls.
Steven is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Buchanan. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Spence; mother, Kathryn Buchanan; brother, Terry Williams; sister, Tammie Settles; daughters, Heather Campbell, Carrie Spence, Casey Kraack, Caitlin Rumble, Shannon Spence, Adriana Gage; stepsons, Christopher Wahl, Joshua Wahl; 13 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10:00AM at Northeast Baptist Church. A private Graveside Service will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
