Steve McGaugh was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Rolla College with an Engineering degree in Metallurgy. Steve and his wife, Joyce, moved to Texas where he worked for Reynolds Metals. He later received a master’s degree in teaching and taught high school physics in Corpus Christi, Texas until he retired. After retiring, Steve and Joyce spent years traveling between Woodsboro, Texas and Lake Emily, Minnesota. That is, they spent hot Texas summers in Minnesota and cold Minnesota winters in Texas. They both enjoyed every moment of their travels and made many friends along the way. Steve enjoyed holidays and special occasions with family, and he also enjoyed being with his friends playing dominoes and cards. Steve is preceded in death by his wonderful and loving mother, Bernice McGaugh, father, Bryce McGaugh, and brother, Gene. Steve is survived by Joyce, his sweet bride of 63 years, his children Terri (Greg) and Marc (JoAnn), two grandsons David (Kaylin) and Brad. He will be greatly missed but left us with wonderful memories that will be cherished forever.
