Stephen Zoldey

Stephen J. Zoldey, 62 of Garden Ridge, TX passed away on Tuesday June 26, 2012. Born on December 13, 1949 in Somerset, PA. Steve was preceded in death by a son Adam Zoldey his parents Joseph and Betty (Smith) Zoldey. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Gonzales) Zoldey, sons Stephen Zoldey Jr. (wife Sabrina), Joseph of the home and daughter Natalie of the home. Grandchildren Loren, Zachery, Evan and Brook. Steve was born in Somerset, PA and has remained a loyal Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He started employment with Revco Drug Company moving to Oklahoma City, OK. He was offered an opportunity to work for Fox Vliet Drug Company in Oklahoma City. Fox Vliet became Foxmeyer Drug and Steve moved their corporate office in Dallas where he was an officer of the company. He moved to San Antonio and started his own company, Texas Freightways, Inc. in 1986. Starting out with a couple of delivery vans he built the company into a major distribution carrier in Texas servicing the retail industry. A visitation will be held on Sunday July 1, 2012 from 3PM to 6PM at the Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009 Schertz, TX. On Monday July 2, 2012 the rosary will be held at 10AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Hope Church in Selma, TX with a Mass at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. There will be a luncheon and fellowship at Our Lady of Perpetual Hope following the interment. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Steves Name to the Kidney Foundation @ txkidney.org
