SPC Paul-Anthony Joseph Varner

SPC Paul-Anthony Joseph Varner, 25, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Paul was born to Clifford E. Varner and Janice-Lynne M. Varner on March 9, 1999 in Topeka, Kansas.

Paul graduated from Smithson Valley High School in Spring Branch, Texas, and went on to attend Central Christian College of Kansas in Mcpherson, Kansas on a basketball scholarship. In August 2022, Paul joined the United States Army in which he received a Military Service Ribbon, a Good Conduct Medal,  and an Army Commendation Medal.

In Paul’s free-time, he enjoyed playing basketball, drawing, building legos, reading, some of his favorite books being Diary of a wimpy Kid and the Harry Potter series, and solving Rubik’s Cubes which he was very talented at. Paul loved the people around him being happy and was eager to please everybody.

Paul is survived by his loving parents, Clifford and Janice-Lynne Varner; and siblings, Peter-Andrew Clifford Varner, Matthew-Edward Jonathon Varner, and Michaela-Elizabeth Janice Varner.
