SMSgt. Harry Earl Elmer, United States Air Force (Retired), born April 12, 1937 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, left the cares of this world entering rest with the Lord, December 29, 2012. Harry joined the USAF in 1956. He was introduced to the computer world and worked as a data systems analyst/programmer until he retired on April 1,1976 as a SMSgt. Throughout his military tenure, Harry received many commendations for his work. Upon retiring from the military, Harry worked at several other companies doing computer work until his final retirement in 2004. Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Pauline Bair Elmer and John Reeser Elmer. He is survived by his wife of 54 years,Carole M. Elmer, son; John Elmer and wife Gayle, and daughter Jackie Magness. Grandchildren; Travis Elmer, Nicole Magness, Natalie Magness, Sara Palmer and husband Kenny, Jake Glass and wife Sarah and great grandchildren; Austin and Brady Glass. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas with Full Military Honors.
