Bryan Coy Colbert Sr., age 62, went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2024, in his home following a long and courageous battle with Frontal Temporal Dementia.

Bryan was born May 15, 1962, in Boston Massachusetts to Gloria Marnie Colbert. He joined the Air Force in January of 1985 and served his country

honorably until his retirement in June of 2008. He was extremely proud of his Air Force career as an Air Transportation Specialist “PORT DAWG”. He was a hard worker who served honorably and will forever be remembered for his infectious laugh and STRONG presence. He had a passion for education, holding a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management of Technical Operations, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master’s of Science degree in Public Administration, from Troy State University. He was a Proud Life Time Member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., which he joined October 15, 1982 (Zeta Chi Chapter).

Bryan is survived by his wife of 37 years, Christine Colbert; daughter Desiree Darlington along with her husband, Daniel Darlington and his granddaughter Evelyn Gloria Darlington; son Bryan C. Colbert Jr. and his wife, Alexis Colbert; and his grandson Dominic Karter Colbert; sister Marnie Harris; and several nieces and nephews that loved and admired him. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Gloria Marnie Colbert.

A memorial service in honor of his life will be held on October 4, 2024, at 1100 at the Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, TX.
