"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31:30
Sidney Jean Johnson-Troxler, daughter of Rebecca and James Johnson, was born on February 27, 1978, in Seattle, Washington. She transitioned peacefully to her Lord on December 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Her father, James Johnson, and niece, Mercedes Johnson, preceded her in death.
While attending high school at Paul Blazer, Ashland, Kentucky, Sidney met the love of her life, Thomas Lee Troxler.
After Sidney attained her high school diploma, she and Lee united in Holy Matrimony in Orlando, Florida, in 1998. Three sons, Terrel, Kaden, and Devin, were born to this union, whom Sidney cherished with all her heart. Sidney and Lee remained faithful, loyal, and devoted to one another for 26 years.
Sidney loved her husband unconditionally and supported him and his military career wherever he was stationed. While stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, Sidney rose to become a prominent member of the staff, utilizing her professional skills by becoming a Regional Supervisor for Carr’s Supermarket.
After a stay in Anchorage, Alaska, the family moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. While in Little Rock, Sidney’s passion for business allowed her to earn her Real Estate License. Sidney was a practicing Real Estate Agent for five (5) years. As such, she received numerous awards for excellence from the Arkansas Board of Realtors for her dedication and compassion for helping people obtain comfortable homes for their families.
Sidney’s deep empathy for helping others by donating her time and service to her community and several food banks in the United States and abroad, her kindness, compassion, dedication, and positive impact on people's lives are hallmarks of her legacy.
Sidney was bright, intelligent, witty, and made friends wherever she went. Her family and friends were at the heart of Sidney's beautiful soul. She loved making others happy by being playful, cheerful, joyful, and [even] playing “Devil’s Advocate” while engaged in a good old-fashioned debate with her sons or family. Sidney was an “expert” on every subject and would never accept being wrong - in a fun way.
Sidney’s generosity was unique to everyone she cared for. She looked forward to shopping for her family and friends for birthdays and Christmas and showering them with gifts of love. She asked for nothing in return.
Sidney was a “Fashionista!” She kept up with all the latest fashion trends and was dressed “ to the nine” everywhere she traveled. She was recognized for her beauty, pretty smile, style, and grace.
Sidney was a great mother who loved her three sons with all of her heart, Terrel, her eldest son; Kaden, her older son; Devin, her youngest son. There was nothing more important in her life than her three sons. She loved to make them laugh, and making her famous deviled eggs was a special treat they looked forward to. She took responsibility for household duties and contributed to her family’s well-being. She maintained a cheerful and optimistic disposition, even during challenging times.
Sidney served her country as a caring and supportive military spouse for over twenty (20) years while dedicating herself fully to her sons.
Sidney enjoyed the roles of wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her presence, infectious laughter, conversations on the phone, funny texts, and sweet voice will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Sidney leaves to cherish her loving memory: her husband, Thomas Lee Troxler; three sons, Terrel Troxler, Kaden Troxler, and Devin Troxler; her mother, Rebecca Johnson; sisters, Portia Conway, Duanna Johnson, and Victoria Johnson; and brothers, Stanley Johnson, Walter Johnson, and Dwayne Johnson. In-laws: father and mother-in-law, Jerry (Doris) Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Thomas (Joyce) Brisco; brothers-in-law, Zachary Farrow, Geulien ‘Julien’ Brisco; brother and sister-in-law, Eric (MyKenya) Brooks; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
