Shirley Williams

Shirley Anne Williams, age 77, went to be with our Lord and her loved ones on April 29, 2011. She was born Shirley Anne Lampel to Theodore and Alla Lampel on October 15, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan. Shirley was a Professional Dancer, in her youth, entertaining soldiers in Veterans Hospitals after World War II, appearing in Vaudeville Revues and participating in the development of a sound attachment for home movies. In 1953 she married Robert Koebke. They had 3 sons. He preceded her in death in 1978. She married George Merrill Williams in 1980 and moved to Universal City, Texas. He, too, preceded her in death in 2002. In her later years, Shirley was a dedicated travel agent in both Michigan and Texas. She and George enjoyed traveling, fishing and cruising. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey L. Koebke & wife, Elizabeth of New Braunfels, TX, Gregory S. Koebke of Universal City, TX and Benjamin A. Koebke of Universal City, TX; sister-in-law, Sue Lampel of Ocala, FL; step-sons, Gregory M. Williams & wife, Deborah of Cibolo, TX, Richard Williams & wife, Laura of Ft. Worth, TX, Phillip Williams of Grand Prairie, TX and step-daughter, Joanna Williams of San Antonio, TX. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends. A Celebration of Shirleys Life will be held at 3:00 PM on June 12, 2011 at her sons residence. The address for the celebration is 841 Winding Oak Drive, New Braunfels, TX 78132. Following her services, Shirley will be buried alongside her late husband, Robert Koebke, in Saginaw, Michigan. The date of interment is still to be arranged.
