Sheila Tronsdal

Sheila Ann (Rogers) Tronsdal of Waynesville , Missouri passed away, after a 27 year, well fought battle with cancer, on Friday, September 29, 2017, at her home in Cibolo , Texas.

She was born on May 11, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. Sheila graduated from Waynesville High School in 1969, received a Bachelor's degree in Recreation from Southwest Missouri State University in 1973, and a Master's degree in Recreation and Leisure Services from Central Missouri State University in 1979. She married the late Thomas Tronsdal of Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 1983.

Sheila served with the American Red Cross after graduation, attended Officer Candidate School at Lackland Air Force Base and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on October 1, 1980. After 20 years of service to her country she retired at the Pentagon on November 28, 2001, with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Natalee Rogers. She is survived by her step-son, Thomas Tronsdal (Amanda) of Tucson, Arizona, sisters; Karen Rogers (Enrique) of Kansas City, Missouri, Sharon Wright (Bob) of Buda , Texas, Sydra Robers Ranjbaran ( Keyvan ) of Plano, Texas, grandson; Mac, nephews; Adam and Kendall, nieces; Kendra and Lindsey and many great-nephews and nieces.

A Funeral Service will be held 9: 30AM , Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Schertz United Methodist Church. Interment, with full military honors, to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
