Shashikant J. Vasavada

Shashikant J. Vasavada, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 11, 2023, in Cibolo, Texas.
Born on January 1, 1933, in India, he lived a remarkable life that touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Shashikant dedicated several years of his life to serving his country. He proudly served in the Indian Military, exemplifying bravery and commitment. His remarkable service earned him the gratitude and admiration of his compatriots.

While Shashikant's military career shaped his early years, it was his family that brought him the greatest joy in life. Heena, his devoted wife, stood by his side through every triumph and challenge. Their love was strong and unwavering, a true testament to their bond.

Shangruti and Devang, their beloved daughter and son-in-law, was a great source of pride for Shashikant. His guidance and support contributed to her growth into a remarkable individual, driven by compassion and intelligence. Ansh, his grandson, held a special place in Shashikant's heart. They shared countless cherished moments together that brought immense happiness to both of their lives.

Beyond his family life, Shashikant cultivated various interests that enriched his existence. He found solace in the pages of books and was an avid reader throughout his life. The worlds he discovered within those pages fueled his imagination and broadened his perspective. Sports also played an integral role in Shashikant's life. Whether he was watching or playing them himself, sports had the power to ignite a spark within him. The thrill of competition and the camaraderie it fostered brought joy to his soul. Additionally, Shashikant found solace in gardening. Watching flowers bloom under his care brought him tranquility and a sense of fulfillment.

A service celebrating Shashikant's life will be held on July 16, 2023, at the Schertz Funeral Home & Crematory in Schertz, Texas. The event will commence at 9:00 AM. The funeral home, located at 2217 FM3009, will be the gathering place for those wishing to pay their respects.

Shashikant J. Vasavada's legacy will live on through the memories shared by his loving family and dear friends. His unwavering dedication to his country, the love he bestowed upon his wife and daughter, and the joy he found in hobbies such as reading, watching sports, and gardening will forever be etched in our hearts.
