Sharon Giblin

A memorial service for Sharon Kay (Burgart) Giblin of Spring Branch, Texas will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the Shepherd of the Hills Church, 8427 FM 2673, Canyon Lake, Texas (830-899-4033). Sharon passed away at age 62 on Wednesday, December 20, 2012 at Autumn Winds Retirement Lodge in Schertz, Texas. The daughter of Joseph William Burgart and Agnes Ida (Vanderloo) Burgart, she was born on May 8, 1950, in Carroll, Iowa. She attended Carroll High School and graduated in 1968. Sharon relocated with her children to San Antonio in 1983. Survivors include her husband Martin Giblin; three sons: Steve Annunzio, William Annunzio and wife Patricia Annunzio and son Tyler, Rick Annunzio and wife Cassandra Annunzio; a beloved step-son, Chris Giblin; a brother, Bill Burgart of Cushing, Iowa; two sisters: Jane Boes and husband Daryl Boes of Mesa, Arizona, and Deb Keat and husband Ron Keat of Auburn, Iowa; her grandchildren she adored: Ashley, Jeremy, Jose, Devon and Chris, Ava Maree, and Zachary and one great grandchild, Kaidence; and those also well loved by Sharon: Chris and Laura Inskeep and their children, Skylar, Tyler, Christian and Crystal . She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Randy Burgart of Des Moines, Iowa, her uncles Edward, Louis, George and Henry Vanderloo; three aunts and their husbands: Elizabeth and Floyd Grey, Mildred and Clarence Stangl, and Lena and Loren Cale. Sharon enjoyed painting, crafts, baking and taking long walks. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed being outdoors tending to her plants and her garden beds. Her favorite thing to do was to gather her family and loved ones in her home and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a gift giver and generous in nature, selfless and always thinking of the needs of others over herself. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Sharon had faith in the Lord and her savior Jesus Christ and surely now lives on in heaven.
